Travel Job Story: Working Overseas for the US Air Force as a Civilian with Daira Rodriguez
Daira Rodriguez is a Contracting Officer who is approaching 11 years working for the Air Force as a civilian. Originally she was hired as an office intern, but eventually was admitted to the “Copper Cap” program, and then in 2018 was granted her unlimited warrant, becoming a contracting officer. Throughout her career she has been able to travel, typically taking short trips in the US as needed to execute the mission or attend training. Her biggest work trip was in 2020 when she accepted a position in Europe and moved to Germany. From Germany she has had a really cool jumping off point for both personal and professional travel.
